While some children can keep up in traditional classrooms, many struggle to truly learn, focus, and build lasting relationships with their peers.
Acton Academy’s Studios provide a collaborative, engaging atmosphere that allows students to work together, challenge themselves, and develop integrity and drive.
At Acton Academy Amarillo, we know that where you learn impacts how well you learn. Crowded classrooms with uncomfortable chairs, distracted teachers, and bored students rarely foster long-term learning or personal growth.
Our Studios are flexible spaces for work, learning, and play. In these tight-knit communities of mixed-age children, the learners support each other, collaborate on their daily tasks, and work together to create rules for the space.
Studios help children develop essential social and problem-solving skills that will help them in all aspects of life. Reach out to our team to enroll your child now, or scroll down to learn about the Studios offered at Acton Academy Amarillo.

SPARK Studio (Launching Fall 2024)
Ages 4-7
Like Maria Montessori, we believe even the youngest child has important work to do. Spark is best imagined as a garden where learners embrace Montessori work and Spark Play to learn real-life skills and develop the independence, focus, and kindness needed to enter an Acton Elementary Studio — each prepared to discover a calling that will change the world.
Elementary Studio
Ages 7-11
Young people in the Elementary Studio embark on a journey into the real world with the thrilling opportunities and responsibilities that come with it. We encourage our young heroes to tap into their unique genius and real-world skills, as well as master core academic subjects needed for higher education.
Middle School Studio
Ages 11-14
Middle School Heroes continue to learn through quests, deepening Socratic discussions, and independent skill work in reading, writing, and mathematics. Students embark on apprenticeships to uncover their passions, fine-tune their personal strengths, and add more strategies to their learning repertoire.
Launchpad (High School)
